Well, at least the sides aren't clickable (for me anyway). I tend to click on the sides of a page to ensure focus and hate when it spawns a damn pop up.
I remember playing the 2600 and having the most insane ideas of how it worked ( I was 8). I remember 2 of them were that there was a lot of video tape in the cartridge that it was somehow just displaying. The other was that the program had about 500 million if/then statements. (since all I knew was quickbasic back then). It might as well have been voodoo magic to me.

And yet only in the last year or so has it been competitive in terms of speed and memory usage. As for security, well, it's never been too good on that. You can find that out somewhere like Secunia. It's still a nice piece of software these days though, good enough to compete against Chrome and the like.

I still have the originally released C64 emulator.. and there's now an update for it that "fixes" it. I'm choosing to ignore the update.
