I am a regular on the MacRumors forums, and most users think Windows 7 is pretty damn awesome, or any post regarding Windows 7 is usually positive and in its' favor.
---Health care costs have to be covered some way. However it is delivered, money for it comes from peoples earnings. ---Yes, but market forces lead to prices coming down. When the government mandates everyone have insurance, that actually reduces market forces, because people who have insurance are not price conscious.Just as an example, the only two fields of medicine that have seen their prices come down in the last decade are cosmetic and laser eye surgery, and they also happen to be the two fields of medicine least regulated/subsidized by government, and least covered by insurance.2,000 pages of rules, subsidies and fines is not going to make the health care system more market-oriented and competitive. It won't reduce the cost, or improve the quality of health care. Capish?

The pilot episode was a chore to watch. The public's reaction to the V's arrival started out far-fetched (to put it mildly) and when they all applauded it became embarrassing and stayed there for the rest of the episode. The dig at universal health care was pretty blatant, but far from the show's biggest problem (hint: begins with an "act" ends with an "ing"). They tossed in a line about unnecessary wars as a distraction but by then the show's political slant was fully exposed to anyone paying any attention whatsoever, and I consider myself somewhere in the middle.Dear producers, please keep your politics out of my mind-numbing entertainment.?

I still remember a number of years ago when my friend suggested I switch to Firefox. At the time I was skeptical, I mean i'd been using IE for years... it came with the system. Why wouldn't I use it? And who the hell was Mozilla? But I figured, ***** it, i'll give it a shot. If I don't like it i'll uninstall it.Years later. I'm still using it. Best single decision about the internet I ever made. I ***** LOVE Firefox. Oh and IE. I haven't used that for ages. I delete the icon so I don't even remember it's there. Actually, the only time I DO use IE is when I freshly install my O/S and then I use IE to go download Firefox if it's not on the network.

Having ethnic employees working in airports isn't the problem. Having intel on an outspoken Muslim in the military trying to contact extremists and making public anti-American statements and doing nothing about it is.

The key is time? I don't think so.The key is a good product and you build good products with good resources (people, money). |
